BIM/VDC

BIM/VDC isn't just a drafting service — it is a critical risk-management tool that ensures project certainty and schedule integrity.

 

Our BIM/VDC professionals serve as the digital connectors between Engineering and Construction, translating designs into fully coordinated, high-fidelity 3D models. By utilizing rigorous clash detection analysis, we prepare our layout crews to pinpoint hanger and sleeve locations with accuracy ensuring that every system is optimized for both constructible flow and long-term serviceability. This digital-to-physical workflow eliminates the guesswork of traditional field measuring and significantly reduces the need for "on-the-fly" modifications.

Fabrication

Our 56,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility functions as an extension of the job site, allowing us to move high-density piping and ductwork production into a controlled, industrial environment. By pre-assembling complex pipe spools, modular skids, and multi-trade racks off-site, we significantly reduce on-site labor hours and congestion allowing for superior quality control often difficult to achieve under field conditions. Directly translating to shorter installation windows and reduced site waste.

 

This is particularly critical for large-scale commercial and institutional projects where site access is limited and schedules are compressed. Our fabrication capabilities are not just about making parts; they are about providing a streamlined, predictable construction process that minimizes risk for our partners and maximizes value for the end user.

Sacramento Convention Center Renovation & Expansion

LOCATION: Sacramento, CA
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: AECOM/Hunt
OWNER: City of Sacramento
MECHANICAL ENGINEER: Henderson Engineers
STATUS: Under Construction

$22 million — 233,000 SF

The Sacramento Convention Center Renovation & Expansion project entails demolition and selective demolition of existing structures, a lobby and meeting room addition to the east portion of the convention center along with full demolition and replacement of the existing 1970’s era west portion of the building. The new west portion of the building will contain exhibit halls, lobby/prefunction, meeting rooms, and a ballroom as well as a new kitchen and support spaces.

GENERAL CONTRACTOR: Turner Construction Company
OWNER: Roseville Joint Union High School
MECHANICAL ENGINEER:  Peters Engineering

$9.7 million

  • Provided and installed the mechanical HVAC systems to construct the West Park comprehensive High School, including but not limited to: site work; a 4,500 seat stadium; a 2,100 seat gymnasium with classrooms and locker rooms; a baseball field; a 500 seat football field/track stadium with restroom building; hard courts; classroom buildings; the school's main kitchen with an outdoor covered seating area; administration building; parking lots; and ancillary buildings/structures.

San Joaquin County Courthouse

LOCATION: Stockton, CA
COMPLETED: November 2017
GENERAL CONTRACTOR: Turner Construction
OWNER: The Judicial Branch of California

$19.8 million - 342,000 SF

  • Provide and installed the mechanical HVAC system for a 14 level courthouse. New construction of the courthouse including the rooftop penthouse and two basement levels. Basement levels include parking and mechanical support spaces. The building includes criminal, civil, and family courts and associated support, administrative functions, and secure in-custody holding areas.
