Project Manager — Sacramento, CA

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring that all project goals are met on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities:

Job Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience, ranging from $130,000 to $160,000. This is an exempt position.

Key Responsibilities:
Preconstruction & Estimating Support
- Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing requests
- Assist estimators with bid packages and proposal documentation
- Support turnover of awarded projects from estimating to operations

- Review contract exhibits, schedules, and technical deliverables for execution concerns
Project Execution Support
- Assist Project Managers with startup readiness, scheduling, and field coordination
- Prepare kickoff documentation for field teams and internal stakeholders

- Support labor planning and subcontract scheduling
- Assist with job walks, site meetings, and project completion lists
RFIs, Submittals & Documentation
- Manage RFIs, submittals, product data, and drawing revisions
- Track approvals, pending responses, and resubmissions
- Distribute updated plans and approved documents to field teams and vendors
- Maintain document version control throughout active projects
Procurement & Material Coordination
- Track equipment releases, fabrication schedules, and deliveries
- Coordinate with vendors regarding shipments, shortages, and substitutions

Change Orders & Project Support
- Assist Project Managers with change order pricing and documentation
- Track pending scope changes and proposal requests

Project Closeout

- Assist with as-builts, warranties, O&M manuals, and turnover packages
- Support final completion milestones
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in construction project engineering, project coordination, estimating, or project support roles

Position Overview:
The Technician – Northern Nevada will assist with the development and growth of our service operations across the Northern Nevada region. This position is responsible for establishing Lawson SSP Group’s presence in the area by performing field operations, assist with building a reliable service team, supporting business development, and ensuring the successful execution of HVAC and mechanical projects. The Technician will also be involved in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and field staff while assisting in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Leadership & Growth
- Develop and lead Lawson SSP Group’s service presence in Northern Nevada.
- Support the launch and ramp-up of operations, including site logistics and initial customer engagement.
Team Building & Workforce Management:
- Actively recruit, interview, and onboard HVAC technicians and field personnel.
- Train and supervise technicians to ensure quality work and safety compliance.
Technical Oversight
- Maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems in accordance with Federal, State, and local codes.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate material procurement, tool inventory, and jobsite readiness.
Business Development Support
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify and pursue new opportunities in the region.
- Participate in client meetings, walk-throughs, and scope reviews.

Operational Excellence

Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, estimate labor and materials, and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

Physical Demands:
- Ladder Use: Climbing step ladders and extension ladders to access rooftops and HVAC equipment.
- Carrying Equipment: Transporting tool bags and necessary equipment to perform site surveys and inspections.
- Accessing Job Sites: Must be knowledgeable of and take into consideration customer requirements, including background checks, TB tests, drug tests, and safety device standards, when navigating construction job sites and preparing for future work.
- Lifting: Lifting objects up to 75 pounds.
- Travel: Regular travel within Northern Nevada using company-provided vehicle required
- Outdoor Conditions: Performing tasks in various weather and environmental conditions.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HVAC service.
- Experience in launching or expanding service operations is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, service protocols, and industry safety/compliance standards
- Proficiency with field service management software and Microsoft products.
- OSHA 30 certification, EPA Universal, or NATE certification a plus

Field Assistant Project Engineer — Sacramento, CA

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate on the successful delivery of the project by providing on-site support for the operations team. In this role, you will help coordinate project stakeholders, manage critical documentation, and contribute to the efficient execution of work across all phases of the construction lifecycle. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and an effective communicator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the coordination of construction activities under the supervision of the field foremen and the operations team
- Provide on-site administrative support to the field foremen
- Coordinate with the accounting team to assist with monthly progress billings
- Take delivery of onsite materials and oversee tax exemption paperwork

- Prepare detailed takeoffs using Trimble Autobid Mechanical
